About Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier was born Charles-Edouard Jeanneret in Switzerland in 1887. He was a tireless proselytizer, addressing the public in his own magazine, exhibitions he designed and pamphlets he wrote. Dressed like a beaurocrat with his horn-rimmed glasses and dark suits, Le Corbusier was truly an artist, performing numerous paintings and sculptures. His greatest work includes the design of the city of Chandigar in India. This precise high quality reproduction of the original was designed for the 1929 Salon d'Automne.
